Quick announcement for y’all!
Now that scheduling for the fall has settled down a bit, I’m accepting Bachelorette Concierge Service client bookings – the next available start date is September 25, and after that there are only 9 slots left for 2018!
This will be great for bachelorette parties especially in the first half of 2019, but as always, if you have a large guest list and/or lots of air travel required and/or an international destination, the sooner the better to knock out the planning basics!
Without getting into too much detail, there’s been a lot of personal life stuff happening over here for your Hostess-in-Chief. So (like I posted about over on Instagram) there’s been a “strategic pause” for Where Is The Damn Corkscrew for August and it’s still in “pause” mode through most of September.
As I learned in my Change Management class in business school, it’s business-critical (and life-critical) to accept that change takes time and resources to process and handle.
(That’s the number one lesson from business school that’s helped me post-college, it seems? Go figure.)
As I was writing the letter to my VIP List about this (VIPs get first dibs on all new offerings from Where Is The Damn Corkscrew!), I’m realizing that this lesson about change is also a big reason why I love planning bachelorette parties.
Change requires resources.
It’s OK – and necessary – to take some time out and process what’s going on whenever there’s a significant change, whether business or personal or what-have-you. To come to terms with what’s ending, tackle the logistics and feelings and whatever of executing the actual change, and prepare for the next chapter – plus celebrating that it’s a happy change – this all takes real scheduling and real money.
And a wedding is one big HUGE change for everyone involved!
So, having a bachelorette party is one great option for taking time and space to acknowledge and celebrate that HOLY CRAP everything is about to be totally different.
Essentially what I’m telling you is that my (male, middle-aged) undergraduate business professor would totally approve of bachelorette parties as a Change Management technique.
SWEET.
I’d be delighted to help with this – just click here to reserve your Bachelorette Concierge Service slot for the fall!
In the meantime, I’ll be popping in on Instagram from time to time. If you haven’t already, come follow Where Is The Damn Corkscrew on Instagram and join the after-party!
